About

Craft tells the story of tradition by beautifying objects of utility and adornment. Passed from teacher to student, craft-work carries its history in the objects and their makers. Having been formally trained in Jewelry and Metal Arts, I have a responsibility to keep my craft alive. This need for making is the fuel that continues to feed the relationship I have with the tools and materials that speak to me as we play together. Humor, cultural tradition, the body, and sexuality are themes that you will find in my work.

I have been making piñatas since grade school. As I grew into adulthood, I made them more frequently as I studied metalsmithing in college. You will see the marriage of these two loves in my jewelry, papier-mâché, and metalworking.
